From day one, our product team worked closely with Across to define a future-facing vision. We explored strategic options for onboarding flows, personalization, and investment structuring, grounding decisions in market research and digital best practices. By challenging assumptions and simplifying complexity, we established a scalable foundation while aligning with Across’s custody, technology, and leadership teams.

On the design front, we expanded Across’s minimalistic brand identity into a fully realized, app-ready design language. Our team created a comprehensive design system with reusable components and a custom icon set, enabling rapid iteration and efficient large-scale updates. To support diverse investment offerings, we introduced clear color hierarchies and tailored visualizations that make complex financial concepts intuitive.

With a 22 year proven track record, Across has long served private clients with customized investment portfolios, regardless of investment size. With a strong foundation in personalized advisory and alternative investing, the company wanted to modernize its digital presence and expand access to a broader segment of mass affluent clients.

The goal: build a modern digital investment platform that combines proven investment strategies with an intuitive user experience. All without compromising the high quality Across is known for. The platform needed to bridge legacy systems, offer diversified products, and scale for future use cases.

We came into this project with an unfinished specification and a number of internal technical hurdles. Without Vacuumlabs stepping in as a true partner, we wouldn’t have been able to get it off the ground.
