API3 is an open-source, collaborative effort to build, manage, and monetize decentralized APIs (dAPIs), delivering data feeds at scale built on EVM.

About API3

The core building block is Airnode, a first-party oracle solution, which is essentially connecting an API provider directly to the blockchain without the need for the middleman (3rd party solutions like Chainlink), with ChainAPI serving as sort of a “front-end” onboarding tool for API providers to set up the oracle. API3 project has an open and direct governance model powered by the API3 token and the API3 DAO.
