API3 is an open-source, collaborative effort to build, manage, and monetize decentralized APIs (dAPIs), delivering data feeds at scale built on EVM.
The core building block is Airnode, a first-party oracle solution, which is essentially connecting an API provider directly to the blockchain without the need for the middleman (3rd party solutions like Chainlink), with ChainAPI serving as sort of a “front-end” onboarding tool for API providers to set up the oracle. API3 project has an open and direct governance model powered by the API3 token and the API3 DAO.

Vacuumlabs has been an API3 partner for over 2 years, during which time we were able to collaborate on multiple versions of Airnode and ChainAPI, the FE for API3 Market and DAO-dashboard was driven by Vacuumlabs.
API3 has recently released Phase I of total IV major planned releases where users can access crypto and forex data on multiple chains. There are many projects built for API3 with a combination of FE, BE and EVM smart contracts.
